Statement of Work
Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator shall provide the user with a dial-up
access account on its network in return for payment of fees (where applicable),
subject to the terms and conditions agreed by both parties.

Agreement of Service
Application for subscription must be submitted using the prescribed Sabah.Net dial-up
application form or via the Sabah.Net on-line registration services. Applicants
must also sign and accept the Sabah.Net terms and conditions as specified from time
to time.

Membership
Currently, there are five (5) types of Sabah.Net Membership categories available:
- Student
- Personal
- Non-Profit Organisation (NGO)
- Education Institution
- Commercial / Corporate
Any Malaysian residing in Sabah can qualify as a Personal member.
Any Malaysian residing in Sabah who is below 25 years old, who is not in any employment,
and who is a full-time student can qualify to be a Student member.
Any Sabah State-registered organisation can qualify to be an Organisation member.
Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator reserve the rights to reject any application
without giving any reason.
Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator reserve the rights to request for user
identification at any time.
Each applicant, irrespective of membership category, is eligible for one account
only.

Nation Registration Identity Card (NRIC)
A photocopy of NRIC is required for every application. Failure to submit this will
result in application being rejected. Please refer to Application procedure for
more details.

Commencement of Service
The services shall commence and this agreement shall be effective upon approval
by the Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator and upon the applicant accepting
the terms and conditions stated herein.

Fees (Where Applicable)
Service fees, where applicable, must be paid accordingly as stated in the application
form. These service fees do not include telecommunication charges of 3 sen per minute
Telekom Malaysia.

User's Responsibilities
Each Personal or Student account shall be used only by the approved member and is
non-transferable.
Each organisation account can be used by an unlimited number of employees of the
organisation.
A Member shall not provide Internet and/or Intranet services using Sabah.Net network
to other parties without the written approval of the Sabah.Net System Administrator
and Operator.
Members should not use Sabah.Net network for distributing unsolicited commercial
advertisements.
There should be no more than 2Mb of data to be transferred at any one time to avoid
congestion and sending failure.

User Conduct
Members must not transmit any virus through Sabah.Net.
Members shall not use Sabah.Net network for any activities that contravene any laws
of Malaysia.
Members shall not attempt to gain access to any device or equipment connected to
the network without prior permission. Any unintentional access shall be terminated
immediately and be reported to the appropriate owner of the device or equipment
or to the Sabah.Net System Administrator or Operator.

Privacy and Security Consideration
Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator do not guarantee the end-to-end transmission
throughput of any connection through Sabah.Net network.
Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator reserve the rights to examine system
accounting logs and other records to resolve system problems.
For security purposes, members are advised to change their passwords from time to
time.
Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator shall not be responsible for any consequences
of using Sabah.Net either directly or indirectly.
Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator will do its best to safeguard information
passing through Sabah.Net network from any unauthorised access. However, Sabah.Net
System Administrator and Operator do not guarantee the confidentiality of information.
Members shall take appropriate action to safeguard their own information.

Support
Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator do not provide any support for any publicly
accessible software distributed through Sabah.Net network. Sabah.Net System Administrator
and Operator also do not guarantee that the software is free from any bug or virus.
Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator are NOT responsible for any consequences,
directly or indirectly, of using such software.
Sabah.Net System Operator shall provide e-mail, telephone, and fax access for fault
reporting during the normal office hours.

Termination
Registered Members may terminate their memberships by giving the Sabah.Net System
Administrator and Operator not less than 7 business days' notice.
Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator reserve the rights to terminate the
accounts of Members who breach the conditions of service.

Disclaimer
Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator are not liable for any loss of information
caused whether as a result of any interruption, suspension, or termination of the
service or for the accuracy of the content or quality of information available,
received or transmitted through the service.

Modification of Terms and Conditions
Sabah.Net System Administrator and Operator reserve the rights to change the Condition
of Service as well as the Terms and Conditions from time to time.
